See below on how to turn your Office 365 SharePoint into an SFTP server using Couchdrop.
Link Sharepoint to Couchdrop
To link your SharePoint account to Couchdrop, first login to Couchdrop by visiting https://my.couchdrop.io.
Once logged in, select admin then navigate to storage connections in the top menu.
Select the SharePoint logo or click the + icon to add a new connector
Mount Point | Optional - This is the mount path for where this bucket will sit within your Couchdrop virtual file system. If this is your only storage, we recommend setting this as the root directory. |
Sub Path |
Optional - Use this if you need to access a sub path/folder within your storage and have this set as your 'root' location within your storage bucket. Once you have saved the storage, click browse storage and navigate to your desired sub path. |
Connect Now | Select Connect Now and log into SharePoint's OAuth process and allow Couchdrop access to your storage. |
Browse Storage | Use browse storage to select a SharePoint document library for the data to go into. If you have a lot of libraries, we recommend using the below SharePoint library URL to ensure faster loading. |

(Optional) Enter your SharePoint document library URL, it should look like one of the below URLs: # https://XXX.sharepoint.com/Docs%202 |
SharePoint minimum roles
The SharePoint account must have the below minimum roles to work with Couchdrop.
- SharePoint Administrator
- Application Administrator
Once configured, click Save. You can begin transferring files to and from SharePoint with Couchdrop.
