Linking Google Cloud with Couchdrop requires an existing Google Cloud account, a bucket and your JSON service account file.
There are three steps to configure Google Cloud Storage for Couchdrop
Configuring Google Cloud for SFTP
Create a storage bucket
- Specify a bucket name
- Select your region
- Decide on a storage class
- Specify uniform access control
Configure service account
- Navigate to IAM & Admin -> Service Accounts
- Select the project your bucket resides under
- Select Create Service Account
- Provide the user the Storage Admin role
- Finish creating the account by selecting Done
- Create a new JSON key for the user
Once you have an Google Cloud bucket ready to go, navigate to your Couchdrop Portal and navigate to admin then select storage connections in the top navigation menu.
Click the + icon to add a new connector and select Google Cloud from the dropdown
You will need the following information.
|Path||Optional - This is the mount path for where this bucket will sit within your Couchdrop virtual file system. If left blank, it will become the root directory.|
Optional - Use this if you need to access a sub path/folder within your storage and have this set as your 'root' location within your storage bucket.
Once you have saved the storage, click browse storage and navigate to your desired sub path.
|Bucket Name||This is the plain name of your Google Cloud Bucket, i.e. "Engineering"|
|JSON service account file||https://cloud.google.com/iam/docs/creating-managing-service-account-keys|
Once configured, click Save. You can begin transferring files to and from Google Cloud with Couchdrop.
