Rsync is a great applicationthat allows delta and complete backups. Using Couchdrop's Rsync it allows direct access from terminal based systems to cloud endpoints, such as Dropbox, Box, GoogleDrive and Amazon buckets.
Before starting, you need a Couchdrop account and a linked cloud storage provider. This can be created by visiting https://my.couchdrop.io/.
Generally uploading a file is a one liner:
The syntax for backing up with Couchdrop is the same as any other Rsync server. Without adding public keys or creating additional user accounts you can use your default username and password.

bash# rsync -a -e ssh filename firstname.lastname@example.org:

- -a - Archive mode
- -e - Preserves the executability of files
- ssh - Runs the command over a secure shell tunnel
If you have not used Couchdrop before you will need to accept our public keys.
