Linking Dropbox with Couchdrop requires an existing Dropbox account.
Once you have an Dropbox account, navigate to your Couchdrop Portal and navigate to your Storage on the left navigation menu
Click Connect Storage and you will be presented with options to configure a bucket, select Dropbox App Folder or Dropbox Full.
- Dropbox App Folder offers limited access for Couchdrop to your Dropbox folder and isolates Couchdrop to only operate within the /apps/couchdrop path. Do note, this path cannot be shared via Dropbox's sharing features, if you wish to share this folder please use Dropbox Full or see here for how to share with Couchdrop.
- Dropbox Full allows Couchdrop to access your root Dropbox folder and have access to all nested folders and files. This also enables you to utilize Dropbox's internal syncing and sharing features.
You will need the following information.
Path | Optional - This is the mount path for where this bucket will sit within your Couchdrop virtual file system. If left blank, it will become the root directory. |
Sub Path | Optional - Use this if you need to access a sub path/folder within your storage and have this set as your 'root' location within your storage bucket. |
Connect Now | Click Connect Now you will be taken through Dropbox's OAuth process. Allow Couchdrop access to your storage. |
Once configured, click Save. You can begin transferring files to and from Dropbox with Couchdrop.
SFTP Hostname | sftp.couchdrop.io |
